Hrc 37 Res. L 44…. Prevention of genocide is adopted with out a vote!

Hrc 37 Res. L 44…. Prevention of genocide is adopted with out a vote! Guided by the Charter of the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, and the Convention on the Non-Applicability of Statutory Limitations to War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity Acknowledging that genocide is defined among the most serious crime of concern to the international community as a whole in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, Noting with concern that attempts to deny or to justify the crime of genocide may risk undermining the fight against impunity, reconciliation and efforts to prevent genocide Requests all Governments to cooperate fully with the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, to furnish all relevant information requested and to react promptly to his urgent appeals, and encourages the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide and the High Commissioner to further enhance the systematic exchange of information between their offices Emphasizes the important role that education, including human rights education, can play in genocide prevention and further encourages Governments to promote,as appropriate, educational programs and projects that contribute to the prevention of genocide.

Invites the Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide to continue to execute the activities under his mandate by providing the States with guidance, assistance and follow-up. In this regarding ICSFT would like to draw attention to the western sponsored genocide in Yemen.

The Saudi-led coalition has been unleashing a barrage of air strikes on #Yemen, slaughtering thousands of civilians (many of them children). This massacre is given little attention and dissolved into history, forgotten. The Saudi led coalition targets more sites, killing civilians including, women and children.

Those who are not annihilated by bombs risk dying from starvation. The Yemeni people are under blockade, enforced intentionally, with an aim to starve them into submission. Although by definition it is a vicious war crime, this massacre is not a newsworthy subject across the Western media sphere - silence is particularly well kept by USA, UK and their allies.

Atrocities committed by US, Saudi-led coalition and their GCC allies in Yemen are there to be overlooked, ignored making the innocent Yemeni civilian victims into unworthy. If this phenomenon was to be rated, then Yemenis would perhaps represent the most unworthy victims.

The bombs that destroy its infrastructure and kill its men, women and children are manufactured by the military-industrial corporations, which are headquartered in countries such as Great Britain and the United States. Furthermore, they are dropped on Yemen’s targets under intelligence support of the mentioned powers, by their regional allies Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait.

However, after breaking conventional lies employed to justify the war by the controlling powers, we are faced with perhaps the worst atrocity in decades being committed.

It is past time to break the silence and stop the western sponsored genocide!
